RENTAL POLICIES

Below are policies and rules to assist with planning your event at the Florence Center.

Please Note: Policies are subject to change per event needs without notice.

Rental Policies

Alcohol

No alcohol may be brought into the Florence Center. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased by SAVOR, the Florence Center’s in-house catering service. SAVOR bartenders/servers will be required to serve alcoholic beverages. Police officers are needed at any event in which alcohol will be distributed.

Animals

Although animals are not allowed in the Florence Center, an exception is made regarding service animals for guests with disabilities. Service animals providing service for a guest with a disability or certified service animals in training are welcome. All other animals are prohibited unless specified by management.

Balloons

Balloons are permitted for decoration purposes only and must be tied securely. Floating balloons are prohibited and can cause major damages to ventilation systems at renter’s expense.

Banners/Signs

No banners, flags, or signs can be taped, stapled, nailed or attached in any way to walls nor hung from anywhere within the facility unless prior written authorization is granted by the Florence Center. Banners/signs should be displayed via sign stands and piping; contact an event coordinator for details.

Candles

Although candles are allowed as decoration, no candles may be lit at any time. Open flames are not permitted.

Carpet

No vehicles allowed in carpeted areas. Not tape, adhesives or markings permitted on carpet. Dancing events hosted in carpeted areas will require a dance floor.

Cooking

No cooking allowed unless pre-approved by management.

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, Florence Center personnel have been trained and instructed to assist you in evacuating the premises. Please always remain calm and follow the instructions from Florence Center staff members.

First Aid

In the event of an emergency, please notify any Florence Center representative or uniformed police officer in your area in order to ensure that appropriate emergency personnel are notified and dispatched. Paramedics and EMTs may be present; otherwise a 911 dispatch may be necessary.

Lost and Found

If you have lost an item during the event, please contact the nearest Florence Center staff member for assistance. Any found items should be turned into the Receptionist in the lower lobby. Items will be held for 30 days. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity.

Firearms

Firearms are not permitted on the grounds of the FCC except those held by uniformed law enforcement officials working the event. Any off-duty officer not authorized by a FCC management official must leave their firearms in their vehicles.

Fire Code Guidelines

The Florence Center works closely with the City of Florence Fire Department and will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding fire safety. There is no open flame allowed.

Smoking

The Florence Center is a smoke-free facility with a limited number of designated smoking areas. Please contact a Florence Center employee to find the closest designated smoking area. Smoking is prohibited in any other area of the Florence Center. Guests who fail to comply with the Florence Center’s smoking policy will be asked to cease smoking or to move to a designated smoking area. Vehicles

No vehicles allowed on carpeted areas. Vehicles entering the facility must have locked gas caps, empty gas tanks and a disconnected or removed battery. All vehicles must be approved by management prior to entering the venue.

Vendors

Vendors must be informed of exact load-in and move-out times. Vendors who arrive outside these times will not be allowed to enter the facility. Vendor loading and unloading zones will be determined by your event coordinator. Vendors must abide by all venue rules and regulations. Renter may be liable for vendor actions.
