Enhanced safety measures we have taken for Palmetto Destruction.
With guidance from a professional motorsport organization, we have taken additional air quality measures for this upcoming event. This will include but is not limited to:
› An addition of 16 high velocity fresh air and exhaust fans
› 1 fire watch personnel with a handheld carbon monoxide detector to continuously monitor air quality.
› Modifications to the arena’s air conditioning system that will utilize 100% of outside air. All of the buildings existing exhaust fans will also be running continuously.
› The end result of these measures will completely exhaust and replace the air in the arena 10 times per hour.
During the Palmetto Destruction with the additional air quality measures being taken it may result in the arena being more on the cold side since the outside temperatures will be low. Also, it is an indoor demolition derby, so ear protection is strongly advised especially for children.
